Nursery Practitioner

We are looking for a warm, caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming nursery team in Bournemouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner, whether newly qualified or experienced, who is looking for a rewarding long-term position within a supportive childcare setting. Our nursery offers a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to grow in confidence, develop new skills and learn through play. You will work alongside a friendly and committed team dedicated to providing excellent care and creating positive experiences for every child. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4 or 5 days). Permanent, all year round position. Salary: £27,040 - £31,200 per year (£13.00 - £15.00 per hour) Benefits * Free onsite parking * Ongoing training and professional development * Career progression opportunities * Staff discounts and benefits * Paid holiday Key Responsibilities * Provide attentive, high-quality care in a safe and stimulating environment. * Support children with their learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities. * Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development. * Develop strong, positive relationships with children, parents and the wider nursery team. * Observe children's progress and contribute to accurate development records. * Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment. * Follow all safeguarding, health and safety procedures and nursery policies. Requirements * Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable. * Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification preferred. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * A patient, caring and positive approach to working with children. * Strong commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing. * Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a supportive nursery team.
